A soil and water environmental expert with more than 25 years of experiences in coordinating and managing field projects on the use of non conventional both saline and treated wastewaters. He served as head of the Horticulture Department from the period 1983 to 1996, and a head of the salinity and plant nutrition laboratory since 1996. He served as president of several International Conferences on the use of unconventional water in Agriculture and integrated water resources management and has written numerous authoritative texts in his field. He also served as a technical coordinator of a 12 Million project, financed by USAID on the water resources sustainability in Morocco.

Activities in GLOBAQUA: He is case study leader of the Souss Mass basin. He also collaborates to WP1-DATA, WP2-SCENARIOS, WP9-SOCIOECON, WP10-VALUATION, WP11-INTEGRATION, WP12-POLICY, WP13-DISSEMINATION.
