Alberto Bellin

Alberto Bellin is professor of Hydrology at the Department of Civil, Environmental and Mechanical Engineering of the University of Trento. He has been head of the department of Civil and Environmental Engineering (2001-2007) and head of the doctoral school in Environmental Engineering (2007-2013) at the University of Trento. His research activity embraces flow and transport processes in surface and subsurface water bodies and stochastic processes. He participated to several national and international research projects on surface and subsurface hydrology, and since 2006 is associated editor of Water Resources Research
Activities in GLOBAQUA: He is leader of the study case in Adige basin. He leads WP3-HYDROL and collaborates to WP1-DATA, WP2-SCENARIOS, WP4-GEOMORPH, WP5-QUALITYCHEM, WP6-BIOL, WP7-ECOSYSTEM, WP10-VALUATION, WP12-POLICY, WP13-DISSEMINATION and WP14-MANAGE.

Bruno Majone is assistant professor of Hydrology at the Department of Civil, Environmental and Mechanical Engineering of the University of Trento. His main research activity is on time series analysis, runoff production in karstic, alpine and semiarid environments, climate change impacts assessment, inverse modeling and transport phenomena in the hydrological cycle.
Activities in GLOBAQUA: He is co-leader of the study case in Adige basin. He participates in WP3-HYDROL, WP1-DATA, WP2-SCENARIOS, WP4-GEOMORPH, WP5-QUALITYCHEM, WP6-BIOL, WP7-ECOSYSTEM, WP10-VALUATION, WP12-POLICY, WP13-DISSEMINATION and WP14-MANAGE.

Diego Avesani is research fellow at the Department of Civil, Environmental and Mechanical Engineering of the University of Trento. His expertise comprises mathematical and numerical modelling. His main research activity is on solute transport processes and numerical techniques for solving the governing flow and transport equations.

Elena Diamantini is attending the first year of the Doctorate School at the Department of Civil, Environmental and Mechanical Engineering of the University of Trento. Her research deals with chemical pollution correlated with hydrological variable on the Adige river, focusing on the release of contaminants from Adige catchment's glaciers.

Mariaines Di Dato is attending the second year of the Doctorate School at the Department of Civil, Environmental and Mechanical Engineering of the University of Trento. Her research interest falls into the broad field of fluid dynamics. In particular, she is studying flow and transport in porous media, focusing her attention on processes occurring at the continuum scale.

Stefano Mallucci is attending the first year of the Doctorate School at the Department of Civil, Environmental and Mechanical Engineering of the University of Trento. His research deals with hydrological alterations of the Adige catchment, in particular analyzing long time series of daily discharge and other hydrological parameters, with the aim to identify the drivers controlling the observed changes.

Riccardo Rigon is associate professor of Hydrology at the Department of Civil, Environmental and Mechanical Engineering of the University of Trento. He is head of CUDAM, the center for advanced studies on mountain areas of the University of Trento, and president of the Water platform of the Alpine Convention. His research activity, described in http://abouthydrology.blogspot.it, covers: surface, soil waters and soil moisture dynamics; snow and permafrost; geomorphology of river networks; triggering of landslides and hillslope instabilities; hydroinformatics and GIS development. He participated to several national and European projects on the subjects of his interest. Since recently he was associate editor of Geophysical Research Letters.
