All the participants of GLOBAQUA met in Athens on 19 - 20 November 2014 for the 1st annual project meeting to discuss about the progress and the future plan of the project.  The GLOBAQUA Steering Committee met as well. The event was organized by project partner ATHENA.

Damià Barceló interviewed by MARS

In conjunction with MARS, GLOBAQUA helps model scenarios of stress on freshwaters with the aim to help understand how ecosystems might react to different stressor levels and interactions. In this interview, Damià Barceló emphasises the diversity of river ecosystems across Europe, and argues that a revision of the Water Framework Directive should embrace this complexity to produce different management plans for each river.
